If registration says full and you cannot register, please sign up through the link below to be put on the wait list. We sometimes have new swimmers that cannot pass new swimmer evaluations or some swimmers that drop after the first week or so. In those cases, we will contact you off the wait list.
Swimmers are expected to attend at least 3 of the 6 dual meets and chamionships (for all swimmers) in July. Dates are available under the meets and events tab.
Each family has to provide someone (parent, sibling, friend, grandparent etc.) to be available to volunteer for 1/2 of every meet the swimmer swims.

May 26th @ 9am (during first day of practice): New Swimmer Evaluations at Team Pool (family garden pool)
May 26: First Day of Practice
June 10 - Team pics before first home meet warm ups: 4:30pm
Championship Meet at Lsr7 Aquatic Center: July 11th, all ages - 8am for 10&under, 3pm for 11&up.
July 12: Team Party, 8-10pm team pool
PRACTICE TIMES: Practice sessions held Monday through Friday mornings at the Family Garden Pool. Evening practices will be Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at the Family Garden Pool. Kids will attend the practice they were in last season and adjustments will be made where the coaches decide they will be best suited according to skill levels. Parents and swimmers may not choose which pratice to be in.

7:30 - 8:45am
8:45 - 10am
10 - 10:45am typically beginners
Regular makeup Evening Practices: will start Tuesday May 26th
Sunday, Tuesday, Thurday

About
The Winterset Sharks Swim Team is one of eight teams that comprise the Suburban Swim League. This recreational league seeks to provide a fun, fair and safe environment to develop swim skills in our youth. The season always begins Tuesday after Memorial day and continues through the League Championships mid July. Winterset residents who are 6 -18 yrs old as of June 1st and can make it across the pool easily by swimming Freestyle and be able to float and swim a bit on their back (and at the coaches discrestion about the safety of the swimmer in a group setting) and whose parents or legal guardians are residents in good standing with the Homeowners Association are eligible to participate in the program.
The mission of the Winterset Sharks Swim Team shall be to provide an environment that fosters:
- Strong relationships with the Winterset 5 neighborhoods and the surrounding community
- Family commitments to fun and healthy lifestyles
- Fair and friendly competition by striking a balance between individual swimmer development and team success
